The Boys&Girls Club started doing Public Service Announcements back in 2012, it was set so that the PSA project would be youth led. The youth would come up with an idea, that they would want the world to see. Whether if it was in spoken word, a skit, a song it was completely up to them. Funded by United Way since 2012, the PSA project has been going strong, with the help of the club's Program managers, as well as the the teens cooperation. This year a topic was picked for the main theme that the chosen Boys&Girls Clubs will have to focus on, which is teen pregnancy prevention. Where as before in the past years each Club was given the opportunity to focus on any topic around health they wanted to cover such as, teen domestic violence, teen pregnancy, myths /facts about sex, and healthy relationships. The youth that are involved with the PSA Project love doing it, they love seeing themselves on camera, and telling their friends about the powerful message that they were apart of. After all the PSA'S are complete, there's a screening event that takes place, where all the clubs that participated, as well as the community can come for free and see the PSA'S that the youth were involved in. Lastly everyone gets to vote on which PSA they liked the most, in which the Boys&Girls club that won will be given a winning trophy.
